The 1880 Town is an authentic 1880 to 1920 era town from buildings to their contents. The displays and buildings range from Indian relics from the 1870's to the fourteen-sided barn built in 1919. Town Open daily May thru October.

The Pioneer Auto Show was started in 1954 by AJ ‘Dick’ Geisler and his family. Since then, the Pioneer Auto Museum (as it was known back then) and Dick have been a single thought in the minds of the thousands of antique and classic car enthusiasts who have visited .

  "Gateway to the Badlands" we graciously welcome you to our community! Established in 1906, Murdo is located on the east edge of the Badlands National Park. Murdo is the Lakota word meaning "hole in the wall". Murdo is the friendliest town along I-90! Public Facilities include a nine hole golf course, a city park with outdoor pool, lighted baseball and softball fields, auditorium and rodeo grounds. Hunting, fishing, hiking and rockhounding are popular leisure activities for local residents and visitors alike.
